Lists with This Book. Jul 28, Phillip rated it it was amazing Shelves: I initially rated this a 4 out of 5, but then I realized at some point that I hadn’t read about five essays I really needed to for my thesis, and when I went back and read those I was a lot more impressed by the scope of this anthology.
Although camp is still only peripheral to my project, the additional essays I read have provided some really valuable insights.
Jan 27, Sara rated it really liked it Shelves: A broad survey of Camp from Marie Antoinette to the s Batman series. Lots of argument, and only a few theoretical climbs up bullshit mountain.
I’ve learned a lot about Camp, even if I’m still not quite sure what it is.
Feb 23, Scotty rated it it was amazing. An awesome collection of queer and gay related radical essays. It’s like the gay bible.
Who are you Harold Beaver? Super inspiring collection of essays on queer artists and topics. A gift from my thesis adviser in college.
