But still, a very good presentation, and thanks for sharing this! And to be sure, this is hardly a waning phenomenon. Instead of a spontaneous creativity, one might say that Kapustin instead releases the creativity in a burst during the initial composition. Seeing if I can get any kapuztin though: The trick is still living with yourself forever. At face value, one might be forgiven for not seeing the distinction from normal jazz. The Russian people are well known for beautiful musical arrangements.
Off the top of my head, I would suggest that you experiment with no damper pedal at all, or at least as little as possible, in order to achieve more of the jazz “feel”.
